ICCD Staff

Dr. Stephens earned her Ph.D. in educational studies from Lesley University and Masters in Education from Simmons College. Before joining the ICCD in 2013, Dr. Stephens taught students with moderate to severe special needs in both private and public school settings and gained administrative experience as the coordinator of a district-wide public school program for students with developmental disabilities and autism. As a special education consultant, Dr. Stephens works with families and schools to assess the educational needs of individual students, offers training to public school special educators, and collaborates with colleagues at the ICCD to evaluate students with severe disabilities and complex learning profiles.

In addition to her work at ICCD, Dr. Stephens teaches as an adjunct instructor at Lesley University in the Graduate School of Education.
