Gabrielle Dworkin, LMHC, RPT


Gabrielle Dworkin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, working with children ages 2-18 years old. She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Child Life Studies from Springfield College, where she completed her internships at Springfield Academy for Excellence, an alternative elementary school, and at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Gabrielle also attended the Expressive Arts Institute at Salve Regina University and is a former Board Member of the New England Association for Play Therapy. Additionally, Gabrielle is currently seeking specialty certifications in Child and Adolescent Trauma, as well as Child and Adolescent Grief Counseling.

Prior to joining ICCD, Gabrielle worked as a school counselor in New York, as well as in pediatric offices, community mental-health agencies, hospitals, private practices, hospices, and theatre camps. Gabrielle has lead groups in grief and social skills using the Expressive Arts (art/music/dance/drama/photography/writing/nature) utilizing skills she learned from attending the Expressive Arts Institute. Gabrielle works with children and adolescents with a variety of presenting concerns, including those related to the following: ADHD, anger, anxiety, autism, bereavement/grief, depression, divorce, family concerns, medical conditions, school challenges, sensory issues, difficulty with social skills, and trauma. Gabrielle also incorporates collaboration with parents, medical professionals, and educational professionals into her work in order to assist in developing and meeting client goals.
