James I. Goldston, M.D., FAAPDepartment of Developmental Medicine & Neurology
Dr. Goldston comes to ICCD as a Pediatrician specializing in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, with over 25 years of pediatric clinical experience. He was previously affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He has developed a reputation for excellent clinical diagnostic skills, compassionate patient/family care and strong proactive patient advocacy particularly in the area of special needs education. Dr. Goldston has a passion for working with, caring for and advocating on behalf of children with complex medical and behavioral needs and will focus full-time on the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination of children with such needs. “Dr. Jim” has a special interest and extensive experience in Developmental and Learning Disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing, and Executive Function Deficits), Behavioral Health, Psychopharmacology (including ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression), and Adolescent Medicine. He was born and raised in Newton and attended The Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA. He graduated from Haverford College, PA and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago) affiliated with Northwestern University, IL. Dr. Goldston is married to an Early Childhood Special Needs educator with a Master’s Degree in Early Intervention; they have three children.
