From there Jessica went onto graduate school and graduated from Lesley University in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling specializing in Trauma. She completed two internships during graduate school, one within Arbor Health at The Boston Center where she gained experience working in day treatment for children and adolescents. The other at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick where she interned in their Evaluation and Referral Department for the Emergency Department, gaining experience in crisis management and evaluations. During her time as an intern she was also employed on their child and adolescent psychiatric unit as a staff counselor. Following her graduation from Lesley University Jessica relocated to Fort Bragg North Carolina to be with her husband. There she earned her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and worked for a branch of The Mentor Network, NC Mentor, as a psychotherapist to children and their families while in therapeutic foster care. Her most recent position she worked as a psychotherapist for a non-profit practice in North Carolina serving underinsured women and children. Jessica’s focus and experience has been with women and children coping with anxiety, ADHD, sexual assault, trauma, loss and parental support. She has a strength-based focus in her practice and utilizes play therapy, mindfulness, CBT, and EMDR. She was trained in EMDR through EMDRIA in 2010. She feels that play, self-awareness and the mind/body connection are extremely important for all people even children. Jessica is a mother of two young children, and enjoys yoga, walking, and playing with her kids in her spare time. She comes to us from Fort Bragg North Carolina and is excited to finally be home in the Boston area.
