Madeline Conover, LMHCCounseling - New Clinicians
Madeline Conover is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Expressive Art Therapist. She received her Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies with specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. Madeline completed her practicum and internship at Wayside Youth and Family Networks and McLean Hospital. In addition, she has also completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Yogaworks (formerly Back Bay Yoga).
Madeline specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and anxiety related disorders. In addition, she specializes in the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for depression and emotional regulation, as well as intermodal expressive art therapy and mindfulness. Madeline is skillful in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked as a group therapist and expressive art therapist at Boston Children’s Hospital in their residential psychiatry department; individual outpatient therapist at the Motivation and Change Group; Unit Manager, counselor & group therapist at McLean Hospital’s Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Institute; individual and family clinician at Wayside Youth and Family Networks; and an art therapist at the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber.
Madeline values building strong therapeutic rapports, facilitating behavior change, supporting creative expression, and providing an opportunity for growth. She specializes in working with children who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, eating disordered behavior, as well as children who are on the Autism Spectrum and those who have been psychiatrically hospitalized.
In her spare time, she enjoys CrossFit, yoga, cooking, baking, painting, and hanging out with her kitten, Dunkin!
