Michael Drury, Psy.D.Neuropsychology Department - Counseling
Dr. Mike Drury is a licensed psychologist who obtained a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling degree from Florida State University and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College. He completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, providing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults, and receiving training in working with culturally diverse populations. In addition, Dr. Drury completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Wetzel Center (Intensive/Community Based Acute Treatment) where he provided individual and family therapy to children (age 7 – 12) as part of a comprehensive treatment approach for children in need of acute mental health services. Dr. Drury received training in pediatric neuropsychology as his post-doctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Rafael Castro at ICCD.
As a staff psychologist for ICCD, Dr. Drury continues to provide neuropsychological assessments in addition to individual and family therapy for children and adolescents presenting with a variety of emotional challenges. Dr. Drury’s work is strongly guided by evidence-based practice and he has experience and training in several therapeutic orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). When he is away from work, Dr. Drury enjoys spending time playing guitar, exercising, and relaxing with his family.
