Nicole Muratore is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with children and families. She earned her Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Assumption College, with concentrations in children and families and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is currently a fourth-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program at William James College. She will be completing an APA accredited internship at the Brenner Center providing comprehensive psychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan. Before joining ICCD, Nicole worked in a variety of settings including: a community-based acute treatment (CBAT) program for adolescents, a special education therapeutic day school, in-home therapy services, and several outpatient therapy settings. Nicole has experience working with a range of diagnoses and presenting problems, including complex trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges and social skills difficulties. Nicole has received training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma. She utilizes multidisciplinary treatment modalities in the therapy setting based on the strengths and needs of each individual. Nicole’s approach to therapy is strength-based, trauma-informed & family centered.
