Dr. Patrick Ho Lam Lai is a trilingual Licensed Certified Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate life’s complexities. He takes a humanistic and culturally sensitive approach to therapy, helping young people and individuals of all ages manage anxiety, stress, behavioral concerns, family conflict, and identity development, particularly during periods of transition and change.
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, Dr. Patrick specializes in working with Asian and immigrant communities. He strives to create a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel heard and understood. His clinical work is grounded in an integrative framework that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and strength-based practices. He also incorporates coaching and multicultural strategies to help clients navigate emotional challenges within their cultural contexts.
Dr. Patrick’s work is guided by compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s story. In addition to his clinical practice, he holds a PhD in Social Work from Boston College and teaches in Master of Social Work programs. His earlier experience as a registered social worker in Hong Kong continues to shape his understanding of diversity, privilege, and cross-cultural care.
