Rachael Wilcox, LMHC

Counseling

Rachael E. Wilcox-Rolniak is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who has experience working with a variety of individuals and age groups. She has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Wells College, has attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and received a master’s degree in counseling form the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. Though Rachael specialized in psychodynamic psychotherapy, she also utilizes a variety of modalities to help her patients including CBT, DBT, journaling, narrative therapies, and expressive therapy. Rachael also previously worked for many years as an Autism Service Coordinator for the State of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. She assisted adolescents and transitional aged adults assess their needs, as well as identify and connect with services that would help address their specific needs after high school.

Rachael started working in group homes helping individuals with chronic and persistent mental health disorders that impaired their ability safely to engage in daily life. She also worked with the elderly who struggled with both dementia and psychiatric disorders. She has experience working with individuals who have experienced both recent and childhood trauma, struggle with depression, anxiety, and postpartum mental health difficulties. Rachael also has experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities; she has worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities, and individuals on the Autism spectrum. She also has experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with ADHD and various learning disorders. Rachael is an ally and has experience creating the open and supportive atmosphere to help serve the needs of the LBGTQ+ community. Along with traditional therapy, Rachael has also worked on life coaching with individuals who need assistance navigating big life changes such as marriage, career changes, and transitioning out of high school.
