Stephanie York, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
Speech Department

Stephanie York is a Speech Language Pathologist who holds her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, as well as licenses in Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, DC. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from CW Post, Long Island University. She began her interest in communication, speech, and language when she began babysitting for a child diagnosed with Autism nearly 20 years ago. Stephanie has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, language impairments, articulation and phonological disorders, and a variety of other developmental delays. Her passions in the field include language development, play skills, social skills, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She enjoys collaborating with other professionals and family members.  Stephanie is hoping to get her certificate in assistive technology in the near future.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, attending concerts, and traveling as much as possible.
