Kimberly received her Masters in Social Work from the State University of NY at Buffalo in Amherst, NY. She holds a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Work with Children and Adolescents from Boston College, and is licensed as an LICSW by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Additionally, Kimberly is licensed as a School Adjustment Counselor by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Massachusetts.
Kimberly has experience working with mutli-cultural families and school aged children ages 5 to 22 in a variety of settings, including both public and private schools, residential treatment facilities and outpatient offices. Most recently, Kimberly’s work has focused on supporting all students’ social emotional learning, as well as those with more specific needs outlined on IEPs and individualized behavior plans, in a public school setting.
Throughout her career, Kimberly has worked with a variety of diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, behavioral health issues, and social skills deficits, among other more significant mental health issues. She uses an eclectic approach to meet therapeutic needs, including strengths based and systems approaches, along with evidence based therapies/curricula such as CBT, Social Thinking/Zones of Regulation, and Collaborative Problem Solving, among others. Kimberly believes strongly in a team approach and works collaboratively with families, school personnel and other service providers to provide a holistic, mutli-systemic approach to problems, while building on client strengths and resources.
