Priscilla Galera, Psy.D.

Neuropsychology Department


Dr. Galera is a post-doctoral neuropsychology fellow who earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from William James College (APA-accredited). She currently conducts neuropsychological evaluations for young children and adolescents with a broad range of developmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and executive function challenges, as well as social-emotional and behavioral concerns under the supervision of Dr. Rafael Castro. Prior to joining ICCD, Dr. Galera trained and worked in a variety of settings including Boston Public Schools, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, Boston’s Veteran’s Administration Hospital, and several correctional facilities. She completed her internship at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare, a psychiatric state hospital in Ohio (APA-accredited), where she provided court-mandated individual and group therapy to adult patients admitted for competency restoration as well as those deemed not guilty by reason of insanity. Additionally, she completed court and neuropsychological evaluations (e.g., competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, risk assessments) and worked within a multidisciplinary team. Finally, Dr. Galera is bilingual in Spanish and has experience in administering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions in her native language.

In her free time, Dr. Galera enjoys reading for leisure, traveling, and spending time with her daughter, husband, and dog.
