Dr. Ellen Doernberg earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her post-doctoral training at the Developmental Medicine Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, and she completed her doctoral internship at Marcus Autism Center through Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Prior to joining ICCD, Dr. Doernberg worked and trained across a variety of clinical and research settings dedicated to child development and psychology, including outpatient hospitals, specialized autism centers, university clinics, community mental health centers, and private practice.
Dr. Doernberg provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations across the child lifespan, working with infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Doernberg specializes in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, intellectual disability, and social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Given her extensive training and experience in therapy, early intervention, and parent-training services, Dr. Doernberg integrates a dynamic approach into her assessment and diagnostic work. Dr. Doernberg is passionate about providing in-depth, evidence-based, and individualized evaluations, leading to personalized and meaningful recommendations to guide interventions and support clients across their home and school environments.
In her personal time, Dr. Doernberg enjoys spending time with her husband and her young son, exploring restaurants, cooking, and traveling.
