Lauren Zambello, LICSW

Counseling

Lauren Zambello is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and families. She earned her Masters degree in Social Work from Boston College, focusing on a concentration in children, youth and families. Lauren completed her clinical internship at The Home for Little Wanderers, a private non-profit organization, providing play therapy services in an outpatient clinic and schools in the Boston area. Prior to joining ICCD, Lauren worked at a multidisciplinary clinic in Texas and was the primary mental health therapist for the clinic. She provided therapy services to individuals and families, as well as conducted social skills groups. Lauren has experience working with a range of diagnoses and presenting problems, including behavior, anxiety, adjustment disorders, emotional concerns, autism spectrum disorders and social skills difficulties. She uses a strengths and systems based approach to therapy, maintaining a strong focus on collaboration. Lauren integrates several different models into her therapy, believing that each child and family is unique and therefore tailors the therapeutic approach based on the client’s individual strengths and needs.
