Clinicians & team
Lauren Zambello is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and families. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College, focusing on a concentration in children, youth, and families. Prior to joining ICCD, Lauren trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including non-profit organizations, outpatient clinics, and schools providing individual, family, and group therapy.
Lauren has experience working with a range of diagnoses and presenting problems, including behavior, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and social skills difficulties. Over her tenure at ICCD, Lauren has provided supervision to fellow clinicians within the counseling department and supported the onboarding of new clinicians.
Through a partnership between ICCD and Milton Academy, Lauren served as their Lower School Counselor during the 2022-2023 academic year. During this role, she was a collaborative member of the Learning Resources Team. Lauren focused on supporting identified students with various social and emotional needs and in addition, she provided consultation and in-classroom support to teachers and staff.
She uses a strengths and systems-based approach to therapy, maintaining a strong focus on collaboration. Lauren integrates several different evidence-based models into her therapy, believing that each child and family is unique, and therefore tailors the therapeutic approach based on the client’s individual strengths and needs.
In addition to her therapeutic work with her clients and their families, Lauren currently serves as the Director of Clinical Counseling Services at ICCD.
