ICCD Staff

Mary Colpoys was born, raised and educated in the Boston area. She graduated Regis College in Weston and Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Boston Floating Hospital for Children (now Tufts Children’s Hospital). Dr. Colpoys has been practicing General Pediatrics in many different settings for 35 years. These settings have been diverse -University health services, inner city and community based health centers and private practice. Mary was also a founder of Alewife Brook Community Pediatrics in Arlington Mass where she practiced for 20 years. In that role she also provided consultation to the Arlington Public Schools and International School of Boston. Currently, she works as a pediatrician at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Medford Mass while also serving as Chief of weekend Pediatric Urgent Care.

Dr. Colpoy has always enjoyed working in a collaborative practice and that is what is most appealing about ICCD. Over her career she has provided care for many children with complex physical, educational, developmental and emotional needs. Dr. Colpoys sees the increasing need for comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis. It is often difficult as a pediatrician to spend enough time and to coordinate the many services that each child may need. The team at ICCD provides families with that integration. Dr. Colpoys is looking forward to spending more quality time with each individual family and child. She also appreciates the opportunity this role provides for continuing support on an ongoing basis. She especially enjoys working with a diverse patient population.

When not working Mary enjoys spending time with friends and family and the many cultural and sporting events that the area offers. Traveling, sailing, swimming and gardening are special interests as well.
