Melissa received her degree in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University in 1995. She holds National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy and is licensed to practice occupational therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Melissa has over 30 years of experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient, school, and home-based settings. She has experience providing occupational therapy services to children ages 2–18 with sensory processing and self-regulation difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, developmental and motor delays, mental health disorders, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Melissa is passionate about helping children develop the skills needed to participate successfully in everyday activities and reach their fullest potential.
Melissa has experience in pediatric feeding therapy and has completed training in the SOS Approach to Feeding program, including advanced training related to Autism Spectrum Disorders. She works closely with families to support the development of positive mealtime experiences and expand children’s food repertoires.
Melissa strives to create a supportive and engaging environment where clients feel empowered to achieve meaningful goals and build confidence in their daily lives.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her children, photography, home projects, crocheting, reading, and relaxing by the ocean.
