Monica Capobianco, MA CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
Speech Department

Monica received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her master’s degree from Iona University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts. Prior to her joining the ICCD team, Monica worked with a variety of populations, from early intervention to older adults with acquired neurogenic disorders in her graduate fieldwork experiences. Most recently, Monica has worked in the high school setting with students in vocational and substantially separate classrooms with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and otherwise complex medical needs, and targeted a variety of functional and social pragmatic language needs.

Monica’s current clinical interests include social pragmatic language, expressive and receptive language delays, and phonological disorders. Her strengths lie in establishing rapport with her clients and personalizing lesson plans to their interests and areas of growth. She loves music, cycling classes, and spending time with her family (including her dog, Tito) in Connecticut.
