Dr. Alterisio is a licensed clinical pediatric psychologist who conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her areas of specialty include attentional and executive functioning challenges, learning concerns, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and the neurodevelopmental and psychological impact of complex medical conditions. She takes a collaborative and individualized approach to care, working closely with children, families, schools, and multidisciplinary providers to understand each child’s unique strengths and needs and support their neurodevelopmental and psychological well-being.
Dr. Alterisio earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College, an APA-accredited program, with a concentration in Children & Families of Adversity & Resilience. She completed postdoctoral training at MassGeneral for Children – Salem Hospital, where she conducted neuropsychological evaluations and provided psychotherapy for children and adolescents with a range of developmental, learning, emotional, and psychiatric concerns. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program, where she provided neuropsychological assessment and short-term therapeutic intervention for children with congenital heart disease and other complex cardiac conditions.
Outside of the office, Dr. Alterisio enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
