Alison Hickey received her Masters of Science in Speech-language Pathology from Worcester State University. She holds a Clinical Certificate of Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as a license in speech-language pathology from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Department of Education. Alison has clinical experience across multiple settings including private practice, outpatient applied behavior analysis (ABA) clinics, and within the public school setting. She has extensive experience working with a variety of profiles and diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), social communication disabilities, receptive and expressive language disorders, as well as articulation and phonological disorders. Alison has experience running social skills groups that focus on clients’ interests and strengths to help form connections. She also has extensive experience utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Alison Hickey strives to work on goals that are functional for both the clients and their families to promote the generalization of skills outside of the speech room.
