Kathryn McCarthy, OT

Occupational Therapy


Kathryn McCarthy received her Occupational Therapy degree from Tufts University and has been an occupational therapist for 25 years in the greater Boston area. She has worked extensively with infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of disabilities including SPD, autism, PDD, as well as developmental and learning delays. Her experience includes clinic, early intervention and school settings. She has been a mentor for EI therapists and has offered her skills and expertise in orphanage and clinic settings in both Romania and Mexico. 

Kathryn is certified in the SIPT-Sensory Integration & Praxis Test, has specialized training in oral motor & feeding techniques (Beckman, SOS, More), handwriting programs (HWT, Getting it Write), How Does Your Engine Run, Kawar Visual Vestibular Habilitation (Astronaut Protocol) and has trained in Therapeutic Listening & Integrated Listening Systems(ILS). Kathryn is a member of NBCOT and is licensed in both MA & RI. 

Kathryn has practiced Craniosacral Therapy for 20 years working with infants through adults(including pregnancy), and has a private practice in Providence, RI. She has taught manual therapy for pediatrics nationally, and is also a teaching assistant for the Upledger Institute.
