Dr. Lorraine Ruocco, obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption College, and her master’s degree and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College. She completed an APA-accredited Internship at Wediko Children’s Services, where she provided individual therapy and psychological assessment in the school setting. Dr. Ruocco remained at Wediko Children’s Services to complete her post-doctoral training, specifically providing school based individual therapy and consultation services, as well as conducting psycho-educational assessments and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations. Much of her work has been focused on providing services to impoverished populations who have experienced a high level of trauma, in addition to a number of developmental, emotional and behavioral challenges. Dr. Ruocco completed additional post-doctoral training at ICCD, conducting neuropsychological evaluations to children of all ages under the supervision of Dr. Rafael Castro.
Currently, Dr. Ruocco provides comprehensive neuropsychological and educational assessment services to children who present with a range of developmental, psychological, emotional and behavioral concerns, as well as learning challenges. Throughout these neuropsychological evaluations, she works to engage families in a supportive process in order to help them understand their child’s unique profile. Using a strengths based perspective, Dr. Ruocco works collaboratively with families to identify individualized strategies appropriate to their child’s needs.
In her free time, Dr. Ruocco enjoys running, cooking and spending time with her family.
