Lorraine Ruocco, Psy.D.
Neuropsychology Department - Counseling
Specifically, she provides comprehensive neuropsychological and educational assessment services to children who present with a range of developmental, psychological, emotional and behavioral concerns, as well as learning challenges. Throughout these neuropsychological evaluations, she works to engage families in a supportive and collaborative process in order to help them understand their child’s unique profile from a strengths based perspective, providing them with individualized support and strategies appropriate to their child’s needs. Dr. Ruocco also provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults at ICCD. She has experience utilizing behavioral approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as trauma informed care frameworks, such as Trauma Play and the ARC model. Dr. Ruocco takes a strengths based perspective in individual therapy as well, working collaboratively with clients and their families to create an individualized treatment approach in order to help them develop the necessary skills and strategies they need to feel successful and continue to thrive.
In her free time, Dr. Ruocco enjoys running, cooking and spending time with her family.
