Mrs. Michelle Lagana, joins our team of clinicians having worked with students with special needs for over 20 years. She earned a Master’s degree in Education through Simmons University, with a specialization in Special Needs. She is certified through DESE in Intensive Special Needs, Pre-K-12, Wilson Reading, Safety Care, and endorsed in Sheltered English Immersion. Mrs. Lagana also has extensive experience and training in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. She brings a depth of understanding of the field through her work in a variety of public and private school settings. Over the past several years, Mrs. Lagana has built a successful private practice in Educational Consultation, Independent Program Evaluation, and Student and Family Advocacy. As an Educational Specialist/Consultant for our group, Mrs. Lagana will partner with families towards improving their children’s school programming and offering her expertise in helping determine appropriate support and services. This process includes, but is not limited to, conducting school observations, providing consultation to families and educators, and attending TEAM meetings. In addition, she will participate in the educational assessment of children with moderate to severe special needs in collaboration with our ICCD colleagues.
In her free time, Mrs. Lagana enjoys reading and enjoys spending time with her family, husband Scott and their three beautiful boys, Anthony, Ryan, and Jack.
