Sean Hoxie is a Mental Health Counselor who enjoys working with all age groups. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Norwich University and his Masters in Counseling from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. Sean originally entered the field in the public school system, using Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). After working in the academic field, he provided psychodynamic psychotherapy while working with the elderly, predominantly those with depression. In addition, he worked with women suffering personality disorders, employing Dialectal Behavior Therapy. For several years, Sean has been working with children and adolescents with anxiety and ASD diagnoses using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, he works closely with family members to provide consultative services, and to empower and coach them. The result of these extensive and various experiences is a strong comprehension of relationships and their patterns. From this knowledge base, he is able to mold his therapy and goals in a very individualized fashion. He believes that while using evidence-based treatment models is of the utmost importance, listening is the most important aspect of them all.
